A
mixture of marble dust, professionalism, perseverance and other
essential ingredients have helped to make American Marble
Products, Inc. a premier producer and provider of cultured
marble products.
Daryl and Monica Sorensen
bought American Marble in April 1998, and about a year later
they relocated the business to a new 10,800-square-foot
production plant and showroom at 2420 Main Street in Conway,
South Carolina.
Monica says, “We bought new
state-of-the-art equipment. Daryl went to Florida for formal
training in the production of cultured marble, and we
completely automated our production process.”
They
now have 20 employees as well as a residential and
commercial customer base that is rapidly expanding. “We have
grown very quickly, and we have a lot of great contractors
and new clients.”
“Daryl and Monica run an A-1
class act,” says Anthony Edwards, vice president of Pat R.
Edwards & Son Construction Company. “They do all of the
custom homes that I build; if there’s any marble in it, they
do it.”
